Sorry if this is a repeat>> My shocks are toast, have been searching the site for a while. I get the impression the 2000 SX600R is already long traveled and the rear shocks are a direct fit? Do I need a bracket for front shocks? Only the SRX needs longer limiter straps? thanks in advance!

yes they will fit but what is wrong with your shocks? If they aren't bent or damaged severely they can just be rebuilt for your weight and riding style. That is the great thing about yamaha's aluminum bodied gas shocks, they are completely rebuildable/revalvable. If they are just getting worn out send them to Bruce at pioneer performance and he will get you all setup, he really knows his stuff. Just tell him your sled, rider weight, and riding style and he will set you up.
