I sunk my 1999 SX 600 in a small creek, Got it out ok but what all should be done to it now? I have a ton of water coming out the spark plug holes when I turn it over, Is there crank case drains? I can't find them. What about the seat how do I dry that out? any and all help greatly appreciated!
Thanks...

i would pull the topend off....thats me. but if you really wanted to you can tip the sled on its side and pull it over a 1000 times to get the water out. then get it running asap.
the seat
pull it off and sit it in a warm dry spot for a week.

Ditto on Dave's comments. What you don't want to do is let it sit. This will kill the engine. CAll a friend or two and start pulling when the sled is on it's side and when water stops coming out, fire it up. You may want to have some plugs near by as they may need to be replaced a few times before it fires. Option 2 is to take the top end appart, dry and reassemble. If this is beyond your limits, option 3 is to get it to a dealer TODAY. Good luck but can be saved.

How bad, water in gas, oil???? IF so drain it all and start over. Put a little isopropyl alcohol in the oil and gas, like a tbsp for oil and a few in 5 g. of gas. Then I'd put a little oil in the gas also. 25:1 mix. Keep pulling till the waters out of the engine and put a mix of oil and gas down each hole, just a little. (few drops) Then fire it up. This happens all the time by my dad's he lives on a river and it is never really "safe". Don't forget, change the lube in the chaincase!!!! Lots of people forget this. IF this things sits for more than a few hours the engine will rust.....Fast. Good luck.

Best advice from friends that sunk many... take cover off seat, put foam between two sheets of plywood and run it over with your car... then spray it with a bit of disinfectant and let fully dry.
