Classic wire rub through!
These sleds were famous for it. If you sled was cutting in and out and lights flickering, that is probabily your problem. Even the wiring conections can corriode and cause issue's.

Yeah i rode with a cat today, 120 miles, now the cat needs a new engine 
Not bashing them but it sucks when things break down, kinda ruins the ride!
