How's it going? I'm looking for some help. I have an 02 SRX I've owned from new. It's has 10, 000kms on it and is basically stock except some minor clutch and gearing changes. The sled is awesome and as I've read on this site many times is the one that all my friends measure their sleds against. If their sleds can keep up to the SRX for a little bit they're happy.
The one problem I can't seem to sort out is if I do line up against one of my buddies Polaris' or Doo's or Cat's I have to be on the right side or I'll cut them right off.
The sled pulls hard out of the hole lifts the ski's until I have to let off to correct my path. The sled has Bender transfer rods. I've also changed the front boggies to the Polaris one's that are a 1/4" larger in diameter to correct a slider wear issue I had. I run the track loose too but it doesn't ratchet.
I was wondering what I could do to stop it from pulling so hard to the right.
The sled also has 144 SS carbide trail studs.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Check your track alignment, mine did the same thing as your describing and the track alignment was off, that will make it pull... Fixed mine and it launches perfect now.

funny you ask that.I have the same year SRX and on a hard launch,my sled goes to the right also.I have to let off the throttle also to correct ,or stay straight.I thought I read somewhere on here that you may have to tighten one limiter strap more then the other to compensate for this. But I never tried it.But I noticed one thing about this.I was doing good for the past little while.Sled was launching straight.Today I adjusted the transfer rods for more transfer, thus getting more ski lift, thus launching to the right.Maybe it is how much you adjust for transfer. When I first got the sled,I was launching to the right and ski`s were up 2 feet.Since then I decided to limit the transfer to 50:50 on the gaps when sitting on sled.Got my straps pulled in to max. stock specs.Center shock near 0-preload.FRA to softest and rear spring I think min. pre-load.Wasn`t lifting ski`s much before and she launched pretty straight.Try placing more of your body weight to the left side when launching.Just my 2 cents worth.

Mine on a hard launch will lift the ski's about 6 inches and then it will settle back down and keep them lifted about an inch or 2 off the ice, they usually only touch the ground a little at the end of a quarter mile run. Not sure of suspension setup but the transfer rods are set for maximum transfer. And i have 144 studs in it. With the way its setup it works real good, but it would definately differ from machine to machine depending on the rider preferences and stuff
