Well it's been 3 weeks in coming but the SRX is back up and on the snow, what we've got left.I had a chance to get out this afternoon with my son to see how it was running but unfortunatly the ride was not long enough as the SRX is just not made for 2 people LOL.Other than having to bleed the cooling system after I got home all was well and I wish we had about another month to ride but alas the weather report is calling for rain over night and mild temps all week, sigh. Here's hoping mother nature takes pity on me.

congrats on getting the sled together, and I pity us all because of the weather lol! what happened to the sled to begin with?

The oil pump air locked on me taking out the centre connecting rod bearing, piston and jug.Bought a crank from another forum member but got jerked around on having it shipped to me for the biggest part of a month and I finally got everything back together and running about 11pm Friday night.

well that all sucks! how did the pump air lock?? you run it out, roll it or what? congrats again on getting it back running :)

Well I had a piston burn down last season from what I initially thought to be an oil problem so I pulled the pump apart to see if anything was blocking a passage or whatever but didn't find anything and the problem was too lean a main jet.So after reassembly and an initial bleeding of the pump I assumed it was good to go but it still had a bubble in it some how and I never run it after puting it back together last year due to no snow.I had been in the habit of bleeding the pump every fall but neglected to this year and the air bubble was still there which brings me up to this years meltdown. When I started the engine up the other night I held the oil pump cable wide open for about 30 seconds until I saw a solid stream of oil going to the fuel pump and I noticed there was still some air bubbles in the line even after the pump was bled.Hopefully this will end my oiling problems as I even replaced all the oil lines too for a good tight seal and peace of mind.

Good idea,,i had mine at 23 then went back to 22(stock min setting) think i'm going to keep it there...
