first I rode a 2007 Yamaha Apex RTX with Reverse and fell in love with it. I know it`s a `07 but dam that thing is awesome. Crap load of power and she takes the bumps like they are not there. evan sounds sweet. I then rode the 2008 Yamaha RS Vector GT. That sled lacked the pull away power. once you got going it wasn`t bad but if you let go of the trottle and gassed it it took awhile to get up and go. I then rode the 2008 Yamaha FX Nytro. It still didn`t fell like it had the power of the apex or evan my Viper. I also didn`t like the riding postion. I tried standing up and sitting down and didn`t like it. It also sounded like it was running with a rubberband under the hood. it was good with the bumps but didn`t feel good in the corners. finally I tried the 2008 Yamaha Phazer RTX. I think my kids fiddy has more power than this sled. It aslo didn`t feel stable at all. On all the sleds I didn`t like the bend to the handle bars. I have big hands and they cramped up after the second ride. The trail conditions today weren`t great. light rain which made some spots icy. I had a blast today testing the sleds. I`m happy with my viper but would give anything to get a Apex RTX. Yamahs scored a 100 on that sled in my book. I`ve never felt so comfy and safe on a sled before. here`s the link to the dealer I rode at. They said it`s the only one in Ny that will have the '08. If you are close I`d get there and try them out.
