I've had problems with my dcs coming on.... I jetted up and ran some good quality fuel through it and havn't had a problem with the light yet. The main causes for the light coming on are powervalves, carbs, and fuel.... There is also 2 levels of the flashing.... the first level gives a slower flash and the second level is a fast flashing.... the first stage is not a big deal, just let off and it'll go away. However the second stage is more serious and must be looked into since it is more of a "limp home" mode

a 02 viper is not equipped with DCS, so the light your seeing is either the water temp light or the caution light. you need to see which one it is to help you.
changing rings wont solve the light problem.

I apologize, it was the Caution light along with the Engine Icon.
I was going to change the rings for the sake of changing rings and I have had more then a couple of two strokes grande themselves around the 4k mile mark, so I will get to have a good look at the pistons when I am in there.
