I have come to the decision i need to replace my skid in my srx. Lets hear from you guys that have went to other skids and what you feel is the best choice. Was thinking a doo sc 111 but i`m open to other ideas also. Need one that will handle the abuse of hard riding and that rides decent. Thanx ahead for all replies.

I would go with a skidoo sc111 or sc 4.The poo skids are good also.If you can find a prox sked I would snap it up.

well said pro116 i have ridin both skids and they perform supurb compared to the skid in the srx. i also plan on doing a swap. it all depends on what comes up for a deal.

I`m not very familiar with polaris sleds at all , when you say pro x skid is that the same as a edge skid?

Calibrations on the pro-x skids are much more aggressive than they are on the plain edge skids, can take a much bigger pounding in stride. They really are great skids.

sledneck----pro x is a "race chassis" which means it can handle a ton of abuse, alot more that a "consumer" edge or edge x skid, be prepared for stiff valving of the shocks tho.

Actually if you get a pro-x suspension with the walker evans shocks, they are HIGHLY adjustable and you can really loosen them up a TON or you stiffen them up if you really want to pound away.

I have done the swap. I put in an 05 edge skid and is was with out a doubt the best 250$ dollars I have spent for that sled. If you do a search on this topic you will see some of the pictures that I have taken. If you have any questions feel free to ask. The guys on this site really know there stuff and helped out alot.

so do you think the edge skid will hold up for me? I ride very hard in the rough stuff and even with my old skid i usually led the pack of revs i rode with. But i sure took a beating to do it...lol. Just the thought of having poo parts in my sled makes me kinda sick though. But i guess a man`s gotta do what a man`s gotta do.

I know some guys like the M10 but i`m not a fan of it. Had family that had em in their sleds and they sure didnt hold up to heavy riding. About every 1000 miles they had to take them apart and replace parts. And they rob way too much power for me also.

how do the SC10 III skids hold up and perform?.I know someone who has a few of them in 121 and 136 inch versions.Just need to know if they are any good and are the install of them difficult? Thanks.

Bluemonster, the sc111 hold up well and is probaly one of the most duable skids out there.

Nysledneck,A iq skid would work great too.
