What suggestions can you guys give me about this. What type of suspension could I put in for a reasonable amount of money.A M10? Expert X?Predator track or hacksaw?Anyone selling some decent suspensions that I could use?Want to gather info and prices now along with tips so that I can decide for the summer and do a conversion.Or should I just stick to a 121" and update it to longtravel.May end up with a whole new suspension anyways, because the owner before me let the hyfax wear to much and the rails towards the front has been worn down a bit.Open to sugestions, and will put money aside every payday into a fund to be used on the SRX.Maybe a RX1 suspension?Need to get the info so I can decide what to do this summer or fall. Will probably tear the whole sled apart, take the engine out, clean things up,change bearings, bushings, check my chain and gears, steering components.

If you are going to go to the effort, I recommend changing skids period, 121 or 136 no matter but get rid of the proaction. I did a 121" to 136" on my sxr with custom valved shocks and it still was a disappointment.

In hindsight i should have put a different skid (edge,sc10-3,cat) in.

I hear alot about what you are saying, good points. Thanks CdnSxR6.In my SXR600 I just had my shocks re charged and put in over sized wheels and idlers all around.I don't mind the suspension,it is better then the SRX's suspension. My main concern is on the SRX and if I am going to do something,I would like to do it right.

i long tracked my 2002 srx to a 136". used a camoplast 1.25 challenger track. i used the existing suspension. i got the kit through mountain performance. i got kit 2 which changed the approach angle and the geometry of the suspension. total cost was around a grand or a little better. i love it, i would reccomend it to anyone...if you want i can e-mail you some pictures. the look is savage, the grip is crazy...

One great option is the monoshock or proactive skids from the newer yamahas. They both ride great, the monoshock is aimed more at trail jargon than flat out moguls, has a great ride and awesome weight transfer that is easily adjustable. The proactive is a little more suited to huge bumps and jumps, but weight transfer affects the ride more than on the mono.

long tracked my '99 SRX with 136" camoplast 1 1/2" paddle & M10. Studs are a thing of the past for me. Ride is much better & trails straight. Weight transfer was better than I expected. USI skis & dual carbides in front. Noticed front suspension could use some work to keep up with rear. Used Hartman tunnel extension kit. This year I am thinking of adding rail extension & 151" track. I can't speak for the mods long track/travel existing suspensions, but my M10 was definately worth it
