what do these meen.

thanks Jay, just want to make sure im looking for the right head, as one of the good onjes looks brand new the othere is old and fadded and paint is a bit diff

As long as prefix is 8dn-00 it does not matter. The head looks like it was overheated at one time. The newer cylinder & head parts are 8dn-10 for the 700 srx,s.

ok thanks so what do the others meen (0G1, 0G2) also what about (7h29, OE18),

and do you know what other years prefix is? Im thinkin gof just starting over and buyin ga good set of 00-02 heads

That head was over heated,i'd check it for warpage...

I beleive you want stay with the same years '00- '02 head vs,
'98-99 had a different squish.

if they are going on viper cylinders, they will need to be recut anyway.

your looking for 23cc will be about right with all the gaskets. then if you want to screw around racing, you can pull out two gaskets.

ok thanks alot, Im thinking of just getting my viper head re domed to 24 cc across. do you recomend i go 23 with the viper head.

Or should I try an opticool gasket first

Also when using the srx head do i use the srx gaskets or viper head gasket

viper gaskets with viper cylinders, srx gaskets with srx cylinders.

go with 23cc if your using the viper head as well. the reason for 24cc on a piped viper is they are trying to bandaid another problem, timing, rpm.

i think it is speedworks that will cut the domes out and give you inserts. then if you want to change things its easy.
