MBRP trail can or bender can? I`ve heard the bender can on a SRX but have never heard the MBRP can. this summer I plan on adding a bender clutch kit and wanna put a can on also. what can do you guys run on your vipers? I have a stock 04 viper er. Can`t afford triple pipes yet so am going the can route for now.

The bender sounds very good on the vipers, especially after the packing starts to burn out. However, they dont look the best under the hood, look somewhat hacked together. But if that doesn't matter too much you can throw one in. Note that you will lose a little horsepower on top end with any of these cans. You will notice an rpm loss.
I would save the money for the pipes... I was disapointed in the SLP can. I lost power but it sounded good!

The deer hear your sled just fine with the stock exhaust I would think. In WI you'd get $186 fine if you got caught with the aftermarket exhaust.

Pipe it or Leave it be, would be MY only options. Id spend that money on getting your STOCK power to the ground (Clutching, Track, Studs). Studding would all depend what condition you ride in most.

Just save your money for pipes. You are going to spend over $200 for a can that just gives your sled a different sound.Put that money towards pipes next fall. I bought a bender can and then a year and 1/2 later I bought a new set of bender pipes. I wish I would have invested that $249 into my pipes. But in the end its your decision not mine.

clutch kit is on it`s way just bought one today. I got 96 studs already waiting to be put on. I`ve only had my viper for a month. the changes will happen this summer.

What clutch kit did you go with? And are you running a stock track???? If so spend that "CAN" money on a Predator or Ripsaw track, IMO the stock .92 Yoka track sucks. Track depth would be up to you and again your riding conditions.
I noticed you said you couldnt afford Trip Pipes, that maybe true for a BRAND NEW SET. But you can easily find a used set on here or ebay for around $600 or less pending if there coated or not. But putting pipes on a Viper isnt for the fant of heart it takes time to tune the clutchs AND motor. Do a search on here and read up on triple pipes on Vipers, somethings you read may steer you away from going with pipes in the future.

I ordered a bender clutch kit from MCB PERFORMANCE . honestly i have no clue what i`m getting. I told the guy what i was looking for and he asked ?`s and then I bought the set up he suggested. I do have a stock trck on and I also don`t like it at all. I`m kinda ify about the triple pipes. I`ve been told not to do it by a few mechanics from local yamaha dealers. .

my brother found the trick for the can on a viper. he has a mbrp for his. never could get the sled to rev to rpms with it cause it cools off too fast. the trick to making the can work is to wrap it with 2 layers of header wrap so the can retains its heat. with the can wrapped clutching is the same with the stock can as with the wrapped mbrp can.
gotta love that mbrp sound though. btw it is a mbrp trail can so it is the same as stock sound in the trails. wot on the lake though it sounda a whole lot better.
