Is this possible. I know I need to remove the tunnel protectors but that is not a problem because i won't be running studs. Should I be looking into 8 tooth drivers? Help I need the track soon because the ice is going out and I need to make it across my lake.

you can run up to a 1.75" lug with 9 tooth drivers, nothing more. If you dont have a track yet just buy a 1.75" lug, will save you alot of headaches. If you go 8 tooth you need drivers and also do a speedo recalibration, such as a speedo drive off a mtn max, as it wont read right with the 8 tooth drivers. Youd need new chaincase gears. It also makes it harder to turn the track with smaller drivers. Alot of money and aggravation to gain a 1/4" of lug.

Yea what Don says
Just switched my 02 from a 136 x 1-1/2 to a 144 x 2 x 16" wide
swtiched drivers, installed drop brackets, move mount in tunnel etc...
lots of work BUT WOW in deep snow!

I am looking at 8 tooth drivers and plan on getting some becuase I found a good deal on a 2 inch track and My current drivers are pretty worn. I know that they must be pressed on but is there any other problems with them? I don't really care if my speedo is off. Am I going to have to drop my suspension mounts in the middle for clearance? I want to know as much as I can before I by the parts and start puuting everything together. thanks.

why the speedo drive off the mountain max? i dont understand

Mountain Max's came with 8 tooth drivers, so when you put 8 tooth drivers on your sled you can run the speedo drive from a mountain max so that you have an accurate speedometer again. The speedo drives on the 121 sleds are calibrated internally for 9 tooth drivers and wont be accurate.
