I was running my srx on the weekend i had something weird happening that i never noticed before. RPMs are at 8500 and at about 195 kph, then rpms would drop to 7000-7500, the weird part is that i could pin point exactly when it happens.
i marked my primary and she is comming right to the top.
I am running 22-40 gearing
Also last question i noticed on other srx's i ride with it seems like the secondary is free floating and on mine it doesnt move at all, do you think the jackshaft is bent? i also swaped clutches and it has the same problem with other clutches.

bump...
do not think your shaft is bent, then you would blow your trive belt..
have you looked at the blastic buttons in the secondery? what spring and twist are you running in the secondery?

SHOULD HAVE PLAY IN THE SECONDARY, I HAVE SPEC IF YA NEED IT. VERY CRITICAL FOR BELT LIFE. SUPRIZED YOU HAVE BLOW,IN A FEW BELTS. ANYBODY MOVE WASHERS AROUND ON THAT SLED. YOUR OTHER PROBLEM SOUNDS LIKE POWERVALVES. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Nothing wrong with having a non floating secondary clutch, as long as its aligned properly. I never use the factory set up and lock mine down.
The problem sounds to me like the clutch cant maintain high gear shift out or possibly the engine is lean up top, you dont really give a good enough description to tell whats goin on, like does the sled lose considerable speed and does the motor sound as if its laboring?
you say you changed clutchs, both? same clutching as far as weights, springs helix etc?
need more information

they sled does not lose speed it will hold it there or even pull it. i am sure it isnt lean either because i did do a plug check. here is another symptom is that the primaryclutch stays engaged and i have to hit the brake to unengage it, I only changed the secondary because i think that might be the problem I have HH's in the primary with stock rollers do i need bigger rollers? it also sounds like it is labouring.

Not necessarilly... you could have a pulled through valve.
It sounds to me like if the primary stays engaged you may have a broken spring. check the slider buttons and all bushings and see what you find.

YOUR PRIMARY CLUTCH STAYS ENGAGED ? DUDE, DON,T RIDE THIS SLED AGAIN UNTIL YA GET THIS FIXED. YOU HAVE TO TOTALLY DISASSEMBLE YOUR PRIMARY CLUTCH. THIS IS NOT A POWERVALVE PROBLEM. YOU DON,T WANT THAT CLUTCHING BLOWING APRT ON YA. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Just like Tony said, you need to get both clutchs off the sled and taken apart, sounds like broken primary spring, worn out moveable sheave bushings, worn out secondary buttons, worn out rollers, I would take it all apart and replace any and all parts before it comes apart and someone gets hurt.
