What is the best way to get all the water out of a crankcase? My friend sunk his srx in about 4 ft of water. Thanks in advance for any help!

best thing to do is drain everything you can, id wash it out with kerosene or premixed gasoline and then blow it out with compressed air. After you clean out the fueltank, fuel pump, carbs, I would get the engine started and get it up to operating temp for a while, this will remove all said water from crank bearings, this is where the damage will occur if left alone.
dont forget to drain and washout the chaincase also.

Drain exhaust and remove plugs and crank till there is no water out of plug holes, hook up separate MIXED fuel supply and start engine. Run it lots to get rid of moisture. Drain everything at your leisure but start it up ASAP to save crank from rusting.
