I have a 2000 srx no spark by-passed the tors looking for a new stator will one off a viper work

My SRX had no spark. Dealer told me I needed a stator.
After reading post on TY I repaired the harness under the motor and rerouted it around the motor. After I got everything back together the gas guage and
oil level unit quit working. Both read 0 ohms at the sending uinits. I think I need two sending units.
