im thinking of getting my stock head machined to run srx pipes on my viper,
has anyone ever tryed running
24cc/23cc/23cc
or
24/22/22
instead of the stock 24/21/21
I dont want to send my head to get my domes cut out and have removable domes, as im trying to do this as cheap as possible. and live in canada and do no many places that do this, anyone know the costs involved, if i had the cash i would go this route with 22cc across and a 17deg finish.

I would run straight compression with the srx pipes. I never liked how the vipers have staggered compression just so that people can run straight jetting. Just makes it a pain in the butt when you want to mod it up.

the thing is if i get all domes machined to 24cc it will run like garbage, need 22-23cc

Why do you feel your motor will run like garbage with a 24cc dome? I thought that was the "pump gas safe" size for trail riding and pipes? If that doesn't work out for you then why not just get them machined to 23 or 22 ccs?

the compression will be low unless i run with a very tight squish at 24cc, Im looking to maintain 135-150psi, I cant just cut 22-23 sense one is already 24, cant really cut it smaller unless i remove the dome and have removable domes made

Excuse my ignorance, but doesn't milling the head lower the CCs and raise the compression? I guess my understanding is You could mill that head down to the point of a non runable compression ratio? The squish can also be machined can it not? It is my understanding that bender changes the squish angle when they mod the viper heads for their pipes. They change the squish angle to help combat detonation?
Help me to understand as I also want to do some head work this summer.

when they do a head, they can machine out the domes so they are all 24cc then they take the head down as a whole to get them lower. call cpr to see what they charge.
your not going to be able to run 150lbs unless you have at least srx style head(cooling) and recut the squish band to a taller degree.
you can ask mr viper about doing the heads as well, i dont think he does the viper head but he might have some cut srx heads around
