Well I got my drivers out and I am going to long track my sled.
All went well there. I always thought my sled should be a little quicker and people keep telling me something is just not right. Well I Think I figured this out. My gears are 21 and 39. According to the tech section it should be different. I am now confused on what should be in there. 22/39 or 22/40.

Once I figure this out I have to change it so it will work with my 8 tooth drivers... ANYONE KNOW WHAT TO DO...

Oh yea I counted my gears 5 times each so there is no question on this.

thanks joe

a 2000 700 SXR shows 22/39 = 1.77
21/39 = 1.86
8 tooth drivers 21/39 = 1.86 @ 2.10
8 tooth drivers 23/38 = 1.65 @ 1.86
all depends on what your after??????????

8 tooth 23/40 = @ 1.97

I tried many setups on my 136" SRX and found 23/39 w/ 8T drivers (1.92) to be a good all around setup (good low end and top end) with different paddles (2" and 1.25 w/ studs).

I do have electric start and reverse just so ya'a know

I am not sure what I am after. I just nt my sled to be able to reach 95 and have great out of the hole take off. I was told to long track it and keep it where it is at and go from there. See how she runs with what gears I got in there now. I was just tring to save some hassle for later on.

the way my sled it setup is I can spin the track with the speedo reading about 60-70 then it hooks up and climbs till about 85-90. My top speed is about 95-97.

I do like the way it is now pretty much just I would like it to have more take off then my cousins 97 twin 600.

If someone can offer me help or want to talk to see what I am after please feel free to call me and we can talk. cell 717 629 7237

I just don't want to be stuck at 70 top speed because this will suck.

thanks joe
