Haven't done it before(well some 30 years ago...doesn't really count) so would be nice to have a step by step plan to follow so that I do it correctly. My biggest concern is once the rings are on the pistons, how would you slide them up thru the jugs properly, compressing rings at the same time.I remember when I was say 22 years old and replaced pistons and rings on my 440 TNT,it went together ok,but still blew the engine after ,and parked that sled and bought my first Yamaha Exciter 440.LOL

I did a 3 piston, 1 cyl and ring job on my 98 srx7 this year.
I was VERY nervous rippin her apart, but after I got into it, all went well.
You just compress the rings with one hand and slide the cyl over. No problem.
Make sure to check your pistons also to see if they are in spec. All 3 of the pistons I had were under spec alot, so they also got replaced. Funny thing is I was just gonna run it this year b/c it ran great last year without any problems. Then I decided to put in new rings this year. Once I got it all apart I noticed that one of my cyl's had a large crack from the small port to the main exhaust port. If I would of ran it, I'm sure it would of squeeked or caught a ring.

Around 10,000 kms.
She used to be a drag sled before I got her, so who REALLY knows.
Just going by the speedo.
Oh yeah, the manual was a life saver for all the specs.
I didn't baby it at all also when I broke her in! Figured the first time she hit 8500 or so, i'd know if there was a problem! lol!
