Ok guys I just picked up a 01 srx and was wondering what are the best mods to do to this sled even settings? any info is good. I have a 02 mxz 700 and I just decide I needed more speed.

Check your WOT Rpm's and then go from there, best thing to do IMO is clutch it, get it reving at 8400-8500 on long runs and definately go buy a set of transfer rods for it if you want to keep that suspension in. The transfer rods will make a world of difference in how the machine hooks up. Lots of other guys will chime in on what to add here... Just go over the machine well and make sure everythings cleaned up and working right and the sled should be a rocket. Oh and definately clean up the powervalves on it.. lol they can be a big problem i've dealt with them before.

more speed
Clutching, weight transfer and the MOST important TRACTION. Depending on how and were you ride. 1.25 inch lug is the way to go. Unless you are on icy trails and lakes than stud it

Bullit, I think we met last week in Barrie. You came to look at my buddy's 01' . Good to see you signed up here on TY, you won't find a better source for info in these machines anywhere. Good luck with the new Machine.

ya hey Mike yep its me. I found one with no miles at all on it. It only has 3400km on it. I pulled the secondary out today and found grooves at the bottom. going to get it machined this week. Other than that its mint. Now just got to lern the little tricks on it.
