duel update question...

This is for my 00 sxr 700

I was searching here and found that you need a
1. stator
2. pod
3. cluster

Is there anything else that I might need?

Also I will be using the duel bulb for my brake light on my new 136 extension.

I was thinking on updating the wire harness from a sled and going from there but the only duel front and rear are the 02 vipers and up.
I have a np engine so I do not think that would work.

anyone know?

you need harness, stator, flywheel, headlight, pod, windshield, thumb warmer, (grips maybe, never tried the older on the newer system) cdi box and all other electronics.
 
From what year sled though...

I wonder what yr sled this would come from? If I get a viper harness then the cdi box and harness would not work because of the np engine.
any one have some imput?

01 SXr was dual headlight. so any non-powervalve triple 01or newer will work vmax SXR venture etc. all the redheads
 
I guess we will see what happens. My 00 sxr has electric and reverse but I really want duel front and back bulbs. I really wasn't planning on updating my sled for a simple option like this but we will see. maybe I will have to get an 03 viper or and 01 sxr 700 and be done with it.

just did mine last weekend converted from 1 bulb headlamp to 2 bulb change the windshield ,dash part and lamp .only problem is at night on high beam light are dim. just wondering is a stator/generator of a 2001 up would fit my 2000 sxr600
 
If you are running two bulbs on a single bulb stator your asking for trouble.. I have HID on a single bulb headling. But I have not had the chance for a long term field test.

It is damn near impossible been tried but noone I know of ever has done it w'/o the whole wireing harness & everything the others have listed I was told to get a new sled would be way less aggrevating! & probably cheaper!

You will screw the sled up if you just switched & went with the dual head light! There is more going on there than just adding a bulb!
 
Duel Update

im waiting for some wiring diagram from a single bulb slec and one of a duel bulb headlamp i will let you know if i find anything

ONLY PLUG 1 BULB AND LOTS MORE LIGHT THEN THE OLD STYLE
 
Did you just do the switch of the head light but only use one bulb or did you switch everything?? I was thinking of just switching to the newer style as well but only running a single bulb but a brighter bulb...
