MARK AND I WENT TOO THE 2008 YAMAHA PREVIW SHOW IN BATAVIA NY TONIGHT. FOR THEIR 40 YEAR OF BUILDING SNOWMOBILES, YAMAHA HAD A 1978 SSR ON DISPLAY, AWSOME SLED. MARK AND I TALKED TOO THE FACTORY REP. HE SEEMED TOO HAVE ALOT OF INFO ON THE SSR. YAMAHA MUST OF TOLD HIM TO DO HIS HOMEWORK. HE SAYS YAMAHA MADE 229 SSR IN 78. CHASSIS ON THIS ONE WAS 195. VERY , VERY RARE. 3:16 (yammie tony)
Hey!!!! Wish I knew it. I would of been there. Mine is # 207. Makes me wanta go right out there in the shop a spank the little b&^^ch. I've been working on her. Started Sunday. The metal shop out here wants $38 for one 90deg bend on there Press Brake. I wish I had some where to make parts. Could make a living on fabing parts. Is the show still on? Day late and a dollar short. Dean-o
They had that SSR at the show in Grand Rapids Michigan last week. I am pretty sure it is the same sled but what a beauty. There was a display next to the sled with all the info on it. cool stuff
