1991 V Max 600 info?

Hey guys , i just baught a 1991 V Max 600 , all i know is its the last year of that body style , Jus wondering how many were made ? are they rare ? How many stock HP , and were they reliable unlike some other sleds with the same body style ? I Cant find any info on this Sled
 

They guy i baught it from said its a 600 and he bored it to 640cc ? i asked him are you sure its not a 540 , he said no 600 , he said it came stock with 44mm carbs and twin tune pipe ?
 
Maybe someone will confirm,never heard of a 600 in '91

yea they did come with twin pipes and carbs..
 
Hmm maybe he changed the motor to a 600 ? hes a racer and he measured it all he said , and he says its defenetly bored to 640 , if it was a 540 no way you can get 100 cc if its bored out is it ?
 
Must have only thing i could see, Still i cant find much about the 91 540 , was there many made ? , he told me its extreemly fast , tops out at 110 mph , and lots of pep , he ported polished and shaved heads to the 640 cc
 
Thank you very much Daman , this is the only photo i have of it , its mint but i havent picked it up yet , i think i got a pretty good deal on it , With all the mods and a new track got it for 1900 canadian Heres the pic , when i get it ill get more pics

Thanks for the complement on the Sled, i love the look and the guy say's it realy hauls , So should be good, ill get some pics of the motor as soon as posible And V Max 540 great site , thanks guys
 
Ok figured it out , talked to buddy with it , Its a 1992 motor in it , What kind of power did they put out , its ported and polished , with a comet on it, He told me its a comet 128 ? bored out to 640 cc , 44mm carbs and twin tune pipe , How much better performance will this set up be insted of the 535 cc

Sorry about that , hit the wrong number , 1994 600 V Max motor , he said stock 44mm slides and twin tune pipe
 
Chris, The 1994 600 V Max engine was around ~90 Hp the 1996 Vmax's with the better pipe was advertized I believe at 98Hp. ? Should run very well in Vmax540 chassis, that is 50Lbs. lighter than the huge and heavy 1994-96 Vmax's ! Get some detailed pictures to show the installation !
