I have 98 srx it is tired so bought 01 srx my 98 smokes it.98 has carbon fiber reeds and hauck clutch kit 4 & roller . over the summer im going to switch clutches etc. But i was going to put v-force reeds on 01. ihave been reading on this site some guys dont like v-force .carbon fiber is better. I WOULD LIKE TO NOWTHE PRO CONS .ONE MORE THINGI DONT CARE ABOUT top end .IM More 0 to 80.

The word seems to be the stock is fine with aftermarket v-force or otherwise just giving you a little more throttle response.Now if your engine is heavily modded with porting and such then v-force really makes a difference.Its just not the limiting factor on fairly stock sleds.Some polaris and cats are different in this respect and reeds alone make a huge difference.If it was me I'd spend my dollars on clutching, jetting, gearing down maybe a little if your not into top speed and making sure you can get hooked up with a good track, studs or both, theres my 2 cents to ya for whatever its worth.

01 probably has set up issues cus it should beat the 98. Aftermarket reeds are a waste of $$$$. Spend ur dough on clutching & traxxion!!!!

listen to Turk.....the stock reeds flow more than enough on a stock motor. You will only benefit from V-Force when you get into the 175hp range.
