Does anyone know this guy? I bought some carbides from him and they don't fit my sled - but he won't take them back - what a jerk.

His auction clearly states it will fit the 01 Mountain Max skis I put on my sled ... but they don't.

Does business as SKagway on eBay - beware - he sells crappy carbides and doesn't stand behind them. He's been a prick in his emails too:

Sorry - if you decide to read this you have to start at the bottom.

From Me:

#1 some time things that are not identical do work. #2 I lined the carbides up while still in the package and they were close, the differences being a larger diameter stud and a slightly different profile. The lengths are the same and the bolts were in the same location. So I definately exercised common sense. When I was tightening them they were coming flush and I was hoping they would suck into place, but instead they pulled the nut thru the ski. Real nice.

I would suggest you give me a refund and you relist them on ebay - you are responsible for your listing and you are selling parts that do not fit what your auction says they will. It is thru no fault of my own that these skags will not fit the ski.

(FROM HIM)
Typically people who buy runners compare their old runners with the new ones to
be sure they are correct before opening them or trying to install them. This is
comman sense. Sometimes, even the manufacturer posts inacurate information. I
would suggest trying to re-sell them on e-bay. If you check again you will see
that all my adds state no returns. I am sorry for your misfortune.

From me:

>Your auction states clearly that these carbides will fit a 2001 mountain
>max. Your auction does not specify that there are no returns. Nor does it
>specify that fitment is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. The studs
>on these carbides do not fit the skis on my sled and I would like to return
>them for a refund minus shipping. I already spent two hours trying to get
>them to fit last weekend and wrecked one of the mount holes in the ski
>trying to do it, I do not want to waste an more of my time on it.
>
>Please send return authorization in next 24 hours or negative feedback will
>be left for you.

My original Message:

[font=Arial, Verdana]These carbides are not good, I already wrecked one of my skis trying to install them, but I cannot get them on. Of course, I already threw the packaging away - is there any way you can offer a refund? I am not happy with them at all.

Thanks,

Mike
