I will be replacing the stock, non-rebuildable rear skid shocks on my Viper S before next season.
I already have a pair of barely used KYBs that I could have re-valved and rebuilt by Pioneer performance......or I could by a set of Ohlins for alot more $$$. Pioneer would be in the $100.00 range. It looks like from one of the Yamaha dealers, that discount online I'd be looking at $725.00 for the pair of Ohlins.
Any opinions out there? I have already gathered that Maxdlx loves his Ohlins, but boy are they pricey.
Thanks,

Ohlin's

I love my Ohlin's also. I have a 04 Warrior with Ohlin M10 and piggyback Ohlin's up front. Also have a 01 780SRX with Ohlin's up front and Ohlin's in the rear skid too. They are all short travel Ohlin's so I kept the stock ride height and handling on my SRX. I am going to long travel and stretch the SRX with an 136 Expert X next year. I wish the Expert X had Ohlin's. I picked up a set of 15 1/4 inch Ohlins to install in the front to match up with the Expert X. They wer supposedly from the Yamaha factory snow cross team. One thing about the Ohlin's with the miles I put on I don't ever need to worry about rebuilds and they take a punishment with out fading. They are the absolute best in my opinion. Worth every penny. Plus they look good on the front of any sled.

LOVE the O's up front on the 01 SRX, stock height. After having Ohlins on the 98 srx, I only rode once on KYB's when I picked up the 01. Would love to find a set of Ohlins for the rear. Stock length rear SRX Ohlin's can't be that much right? lol
