My buddy wants to put an older venture chaincase with reverse on his viper, will it bolt up or should he buy a new reverse kit? Im pretty sure the viper has hyvo gearing and the venture has non hyvo so he will need to swap everything over.......... anyone ever do this or will they be different and not fit?

if it's the pro-action venture it will fit , but he will have to chage gears and chain. you can run the non-hyvo in the srx--i have been running my 99 srx with reverse with the non hyvo gears and chain for 3 years now without any problems.

he wants to use a complete chaincase/with chain and gears, from a 2000 up venture, should all bolt right on correct?

there is different part numbers for them, but we have one for the viper in stock. tell rod to hook him up, i know they dont want them in inventory anylonger so you might get a good discount
the venture one will work from 97 up . if it is a 700 venture the gears will even be close to stock.
