a big lot of us went to the mealy mountains today for a ride i was climbing alot of the hills but the sled just didnt feel right. it didnt have all its power. so i was putting around checking out my next line when the sled seemed to cut down to 2 cylinders then mad a really funny noise and coasted to a stop. i knew the crank was gone and was expecting to see the rod out the case, but it wasnt. pulled the plugs and put a screwdriver down the whole and slowly moved the clutch until i could feel the piston move. the center piston went up then down and at the bottom of the stroke there was about a 30 degree dead spot until i could feel it move again. thats fine. its over for me today. nope. a buddy convinces me to take his m7 for a try. i jump on and do a few good lines. i come over a bank and turn around going to go downhill but find im going to fast and the line was not ran yet.it was a fifteen foot drop with a tree in the middle that i was going to smoke so i pulled as hard as i could and nailed the throttle just enough so that the tree just skimmed the side of the sled and right dead into my hand. it is the first bone i ever broke.
but overall it was a really fun trip.

you have a deathwish there redsnake or is this just a regular day of sledding.Good to hear you saved the sled of course.A tree in the middle of the hood would not be pretty, not to mention what you would look like also.Stay away from them trees. To many sledders out here have lost there lives smacking into trees this season.

ya im pretty lucky most of the time. it was my first time up there and i had a blast. the worst part was having to drive my buddies rev back out of the mountains to town with my throttle hand broken down through the very rough trail. now i have it in a half cast cause i got to wait till monday or tuesday to get an xray. and for the first time ever i got to get someone else to tear down my sled
