How do you remove the Rear Spring on the shock?

How do you remove the rear spring on the shock on a 03 Viper? I hear its a monster. Is there a tool to use to compress?

Loosen the collar all the way and try a ratchet strap on it?

yes there are tools. but its possible without one. loosen the spring tensionthen compress the shock and remove the collar above the spring

dont kill yourself, take it to an auto shop, they have great spring compressors for struts, it will take them a few minutes to take it off and you will leave your adjuster nuts where they are.
