How do I go about running 10 tooth drivers in a viper, without a rolled chaincase? Do I have to remove the front heat exchanger? Also, what about the skid, do I have to move it back?

What exactly are you trying to do? Ice drag? Grass drag? Asphalt race? Trail ride? Studded track? What size track and what length studs??

I would stick with 9t and go 1.25's chisles for grass.I don't think you will have the clearnce with 10 t and studs.

I was thinking about a way to add 10 tooth driver aswell last summer... it would be a bit of work, but I was almost wondering if you could pull the front heat exchanger and add some tunnel coolers like ski-doo has, the only clearance issue I could see then would be the top of the tunnel where the bulkhead meets the tunnel. I already have a hole through there with 1" studs on the stock track... but that was from running too loose.
Just an idea to give you some thought. I have to replace the front exchanger anyway so I may see if it can be done neatly or not.

And I am about 65% sure you can't get a 1" stud under there with the 10 tooths... I thought there was a post a while back where somebody said even getting a 3/4 " track in there was a tight squeeze? Maybe I remember the wrong post?

you have to remember no matter how tight you run your trrack it will balloon.

1/2" speed track with 1.060" Woody's t-nut chisel studs will be ok. It's very tight though!

lot of work but if you cut up your bulk head, install the jack shaft below the tunnel in the corner it will get you some clearence. when you do this you move the jack shaft down, the drive shaft goes back and down. you use the same distances for everything. do a search on drop and roll chain case. there may be some pictures.
if you do manage to get 10 tooth in there, remember that that skid wont work with 10t extroverts without cutting back the warm for clearence.
