Might see you there, can you PM me your current cell number. I don't know if you still have the same number.

Just wanted to say thanks to viper treats, flybyu, ding, rob for the fun time and help dragging the beast out of puddle aka pond lol .there was some great riding up there to be found but also some real crap which you cant ask for much in april.only 8 more months and i can wreck something again lol .Hopefully you have some good pics.

Great time for me, didn't mind the junk or the pond at all. But I sure was whipped when it was all said and done. That will teach me to ride the snowbanks all day.

All Hail to the Great Track Thrasher :yrules:

some how when i went across the water hazard my suspension rails went thru my track windows half way across and it stopped me...and plop plop fizz fizz i sank.it was a ordeal getting out even with 5 guys.the water was ice cold and i think all of us were beat from all day riding.we ended up cutting track off in 3-4 pieces.luckly we were close to brear trap bar and flybyu pulled it back to there.then i rode bitch with ding.thats the longest mile i have ever rode lol .then they rode back to super 8 and got viper treats truck and picked me up.it ended being 4-5 hr deal.

today i washed sled and found track adjuster snapped off on left side.other then that and track thats the damage.i'll have to resurect it one more time stronger and faster lol or find a cheap phazer fx this summer.i'm going to take the r1 out now and do some wheelies and stayt away from the water lol

ding.i wasnt sore but i sure have alot of blisters on my hands.and i was tired as hell.price you pay i guess for one last ride lol

Blisters? What the heck were you doing on the back of my sled anyway ?

Nothing like a good ole ProAction huh?

Our fearless leader came upon said water hazard after dark and pulled up just short of it to survey the degree of difficulty and any potential for bonus points along the way. After a moment of speculation (or something to that effect) he launched out on an angle, blipped the throttle a bit to get turned straight, and then hit the throttle only to glide and then sink in the middle. I wondered at first why he didn't climb up on the seat to keep his feet dry, but then I remembered his seat and understood perfectly what that rocking chair would have done had he climbed up on it.

I think the moral of the story (actually there are quite a few of them) is to be very careful blipping the throttle once on the water. If you take a look at a skid (especially a mono) you will see that in order for the track to get stabbed by the rails, it has to bunch up a whole lot. Like almost 5 inches or so. I am guessing that the torque of that engine along with a loose track put a bunch of track behind the drivers and in front of the rails because of the significant traction quality of water. I had a hard time watching them cut a fairly new track in half.

Rich did that happen on trail 8 on the way to the bear trap? When i was up there last weekend there was A LOT of water/mud on that trail through a lot of the low sections. Made my white attak completely black. And there were definately a lot of high spots and lumps and rocks sticking up in some places in the water that might've caused your track/rail troubles.

This is the best picture I have of the track. Unfortuneatly most of my pictures in the dark of Rich sitting in the middle of the large puddle didn't turn out. I hope Rob has some more. Note the nifty track removal tool.
