Has anyone had experience with these suspensions? They look pretty simple, which accounts for their claims of weight loss. I'm pretty interested with putting one of these in my sled for next year, but i'm looking for peoples experiences before I go and buy a $2300 dollar suspension. They advertise a lot of travel, but I still want to be able to ride aggressively on the trails. Thanks for any input.

I know they don't make short track models, I'm looking into a 136" or 144".

The main headquarters are based here in my town, so I'm gonna go talk to them tomorrow.

Talked just briefly to a couple guys with them, and they love them above all the others.

i talked to them last year about selling them. thought, there is a simple suspenion, light, less parts, will be a good seller at a reasonable price. i found out different. the price was out to lunch, compared to a bovine, or m10/12 and now even the airwave. maybe they are a deal for a mountain guy comparing them to a holtz or a fabcraft but for a guy on the trail they are in no way a good deal.

Yeah, cost is a bit on the high side, but I'm looking for something a bit out of the ordinary, but most importantly something I'll be happy with. I'm going to go talk to the guys at EZ-Ryde and see what they have to say. Odds are I'll probably go with an Expert-X. How much lighter are the Expert-X's than a stock skid? I'm really into lightening up my sled right now. I have the power, but all that power is in a tank.

got a link to pics or info?? why not a mono? lighter than stock and getting easier to come by. and a used m-10 seems to be getting damn cheap too.

I'm considering a mono shock, I've been trying to get hold of Bender for their conversion kit, but they're not real good at calling me back. I know guys that have the M-10 and like them, but said even after a lot of tuning they're not impressed with performance in the aggresive turns on trails. I know I can't have it all, but I'm hoping for a happy median. Whatever I put in, I want to be able to withstand some jumping. I'm not hardcore into it, but when the itch comes around, I want something that'll take the abuse.

i wouldnt go to bender, I would buy a used mono from an apex. its what I did, and it really works great not the best for jumping, but I can do some jumping with it and no problems yet. no HUGE house jumping in my riding, but some good knolls and jumps on the lake. depends on how you ride I suppose!

May I ask why to stay away from Bender? I've heard lots of good things about them. But I'm not happy with there simple service of returning calls. I'm not into huge jumping, but want something to simply hold up to it if I play around for awhile. How does an apex mono shock install? Do i have to do any major modifications? I'm looking for something relatively simple and not too labor intensive.

I stayed away because if they couldnt call me back and take $1k from me, what are they going to do when I have a broken part? and I have a "how-to" fo rthe mono skid install. should be in the tech pages soon (it has been submitted) but you can give it a look by clicking mono skid in my sig no major mods at all, it was relatively simple! give it a look and let me know if you have any questions. I went to EZ-Ryde and checked out there suspensions (very nice, but very pricey) and will probably go with a Expert-X or mono shock. I rode one of there sleds around and wow, I really don't want to go back to my skid. I'll make my mind up this summer and bite the bullet. Also, has anyone heard anything about the AD Boivin ZX2 suspension? I just seen it on their website, and it's got me interested. I'm not sure how it would hold up though.

Snow's still here, when we had that last storm, the snow was chest deep! And that's not even where it was drifted. I'll definitely ask around, and see if anyones interested. I live by the Mods. I'm really trying to make up for the abuse I put that sled through this year. A little treat for the girl. I should just buy a new fourstroke, but I want to build my sled into my own custom sled. Guns and sleds, that's where I spend all my money. I've gotten my sled a lot more dialed in since you were up here, next year I want to line up with all those cats.
