I just got done completely rebuilding my 1998 700 SRX from, the crank up.. Got everything up and running, but now I have an error code flashing at me.. The temp light stays lit for about a second, and than blinks 3 times and repeats.. Anyone know whats up? THANKS for any help!!!!

Are you shure the air is fully blead in the coolant system?If you do a seach there is lots of info in here.Could be a wire rubbing or the servo not working.

Hmm..a flash of three tells ya the CDI is working properly,does it only do
it on start up or wile it's running??

Check your connection on the servo motor .plugends probably not in all the way.Sx700 said:

It does it while running, the first blink is longer than the other 3, blink...blink, blink, blink and repeats... I looked at the error code diagnotics on the tech pages for the 2000 SRX and from what I gather that code means a coolant problem (air trapped in the lines) but I wasn't sure if the 1998 codes are the same as the 2000???

Mine did that, kept blinking three times while running, found a plug not connected near the servo.

Thats what i was wondering too if there the same..Sx700 said:
check the water temp sensor. plugged in? had this happen once and there was a broken wire. thats what the book shows for the code.
