When I start reassembling my crank cases on my 700 SRX, Do I need to use any specialized sealant between the cases? My repair manual does'nt really say. I've done a lot of rebuilds, just not on the bottom ends of the triples.
Thanks..

I guess yamabond is supposed to be some good stuff... but I have just used a typical anaerobic flange sealant from a local farm supply shop... whatever you do I definetly wouldn't put it back together dry.

just needs a thin layer on one side of the cases. try not to get it on the bearings. the stuff is really stringy so be very careful. and dont squeeze the tube as it is really hard to stop once it starts. hope this is helpful and not just repetitive.

you need the yamabond that never completely dries - either 4 or 5 - I've seen polaris and arctic cat mechanics used yamabond for crank cases.
