I was hearing a clapping/ loose metal slamming sound from my skid this past winter when hitting moguls. It was almost like the front of the skid was being forced into working, instead of soaking up bumps. I don't know if the front shock needs to be redone or what it was. It has viper shocks are they rebuildable and if so about how much does it usely cost?? Anyone have any ideas?? The sled needs a new track so the whole skid will be out soon. I have a chance to purchase an m-10 136" for $600 bucks from a guy on here but I don't know if I should save some money and figure out the problem with the existing skid. Between the 136" m-10 skid, mounting kit, track, tunnel extension, and any missing parts of the m-10 it will cost around $1100.00. If I keep the skid I got now that I dont like anyway, I dont have to stretch the sled, which I have wanted to do for sometime. But I have to figure out the problem, and still need a new track. Anyone have any advice? How pricey could my skid problem end up?? should I opt for the used m-10?

Pull the skid (easy to do) and inspect it closely. You may have a broken W-arm or other part. Lots of info on this in here and the Tech Pages.

It'll be like having a new sled if you opt for that 136" m-10 with the ride, traction and stability improvement.
