Hi guys!
On our last ride we discovered that the track of my friends viper basically was shot. Guess I will be replacing it this summer and now I wonder what track will fit with stock drivers and without relocating the skid?.
Will a 44mm (1,7") track fit?.
I hope he will let me change it, can`t wait to do some summer wrenching.
Wellwell short thread, easy question.
Joakim.

1.7 is gonna hit on big bumps. 1.5 is great & will give enuff clearence for sure but your gonna have to remove all the heat echanger protectors.

yup 1.5" is about all you can go on a proaction without relocating things. Have him put a 136 on right away and run that baby hard off trail. You would be amazed at what they will go through once he's a good off-trail rider.
Hi guys thanks for the replies!
1.5 it is then!. Better safe then sorry, hehe.
If we decide to extend it to 136" , will the rear end have to be extended too?. Or can you keep it stock?. Will the skid have to be relocated?.
Thanks again for the replies, now we know what to order.

Yes you need tunnel and rail extensions. I would get tracksusa rail extensions and a mountain performance tunnel extension. Probably other good tunnel extensions out there as well.
Ok Yamahaholic thanks, I will tell my friend about it.
The other day when I spoke with him I asked him "hey have you ordered a new track" and he answered "hmm maybe I should order a new sled" , hehe. So he definately wants a more mountain-suited sled. But I think he will stick with the Viper.
Would be damn cool to extend it tho, just to get the experience.
