I am polishing the rails on my M-10 suspension and was wondering if anyone had tried spraying something like this with clear paint after the polishing was done. I have done a fair amount of polishing in the past, but have never tried to keep it looking good with a clear coating myself. Any thoughts??

i dont think it will hold due to the metal being so clean/smooth. but i never tried it myself so im not 100%

like redsnake said its hard to get anything to stick to a super smooth surface (hence why you usually scuff up stuff before painting to get it do adhere) but there is some stuff called zoop-seal that seals up your polish job to make it hold its shine longer.

Por15 makes incredible paint products...have clears that will stick to chrome & Color Chrome kits that will color chrome / shiny metal with multiple colors...with a clear coat. The colors look like a colored mirror...wild product! http://www.por15.com or Porcan.com I have used there products on car restorations & thrilled. They have a 100% money back guarantee if it fails.

This looks to be the easiest one.

I think I may try this out unless anyone has any better ideas. I am also doing my tunnel, so maybe I will use it on that also. Thanks for the replies!!

n2oiroc polished his rails and then had them clear powdercoated so that they always stayed shiney. They looked awesome.

I've used the POR15 clear on polished aluminum. Its spendy, but works
