So I have been on the fence about getting into a four stroke.....just checked with my insurance liberty mutual about an 06 attack......

currently I pay 346.00 for two yes two sleds from liberty full coverage...."nice"

quote on 06 attack same coverage 403.00 ouch!!!

I think I just fell off the fence and landed back on the srx...

maybe its the word attack and 1000cc that makes the rate crazy

Honestly the rates wouldn't be a deciding factor its just another thing to figure with a newer sled.

Realistly I can't afford newer sleds....plus its hard to justify when both my srx's still look new (even with 7000 and 8000 showing on the odometers)

Plus I would much rather ride em then pay for em....ya know what i mean.
Think the sleds are getting some upgrades (reverse and suspension changes and maybe some port work.....

I can do a lot of riding in quebec on the difference between what my sled is worth and what it would cost for a new one.

Oh and if,,,,,maybe more like when I flip over...(happens a few times...slow role over) The oil won't run out of the engine

:2strokes:

State Farm in Redford Michigan 415.00 for a fx Nitro rtx 1050 cc for a full year, full coverage. Your quote is not to bad!!!!!!!!

Insurance sounds like its nuts down in the States to.... Up here its pretty insane, as soon as you get to a 700 it goes way up, my buddy pays $800.00 and something a year for his 800 rev and that doesnt include collision. I personally pay $326 a year for everything except collision but even thats a lot of money for a few months of use.

I pay $160 for everything but collision on my 2000 SRX 700 Dad pays about the same for his 2004 RX warrior with same coverage.$320 for both sleds isn't too bad for the year! We are with TD Canada Home and Auto

Wow that is absolutely insane, my '06 Attak is only around $200 a year for full coverage under accuity insurance, and that is a $200 deductible. I have a lot of stuff covered under them though.

Liberty mutal for my 07 apex was 250.00 a year 500.00 deductable and I had a total loss accident in 06.

i was quoted by most insurance companies here in quebec for my 1998 srx 700 between 700-950$ everything included. maybe its because im young

check with your home owners insurance company. sometimes they offer sleds as riders on the house policy. we run full coverage for riding season, fire and theft in the nonriding season. very reasonable rates. the cc size plays into effect but, the big reason for insurance being high is the cost to replace the unit, and the possibility of you being hurt in the accident. ski

Up here, snowmobile insurance is like motorcycle insurance. you HAVE to pay a full year.. even if you only ride a couple of months.. so you dont get a break for Fire and theft during the off seasons.

Plus it is high for all insurance until you get old. then all sorts of stuff gets cheaper.. shoot I cant wait till I'm 65 so I get free coffee @ Harvey's :D
