They allmost allways break at the welds. You want to weld in some L shaped gussets at every weld point.

Thanks guys.I have 1 new and 2 used w-arms(cracked) to re-inforce.Got wire wheel on my drill and cleaning up all welded areas to the bare metal and surrounding area.Once I got this done,I will cut pieces of steel band and get some kind of material for gussets.I will get this guy who used to work on the railroad with my father weld everything for me.If my dad was still living,he could of done it for me.I grew up on the farm and never was taught how to weld...can you believe that.

well I got the 3/4" steel band cut and used 1" L-shaped by 1/8" heavy brackets to get welded to every inside weld,10 brackets per arm.I am wire brushing all the paint off where these pieces will go so that the welds will stick.Grinded the paint off every other welds to bare metal so I can get the welds rewelded over to.Once these are done on the 2 w-arms I have been working on,will clean off and prime and then apply paint to it for that just new look. The 3rd w-arm I have from the SRX is in real bad shape, broken and twisted.I will do that one later when I have more time. For now the new w-arm will be very strong and an extra one for my SXR just in case.Everything takes time to do,but will feel better when it is all done properly.
