What all do I need to use the shocks from a 2002 viper on a 97 SX700. Will I need all the front end control bars and steering rods or is there a way to bolt the shocks up with out these. Anyone done this before? If so can I get instructions or possible a web site with proceedures. Thanks in advance.

Remove original upper holders (part 14/15) and bolt them in.

I did this upgrade to my '99 SX chassis. You need to remove the stock upper shock mounts, buy the upper shock mount bushings for a Viper and put them in the bulk head of you SX and then bolt them in. For two seasons I used the stock control arms and tie rods but, it gave me more bump stear than the stock shocks.
I would suggest getting the Viper control arms and tie rods to eliminate as much bump stear as you can. Send your shocks to Bruce at B-Line Control (651-257-0828 and have him revalve them for use on an SX chassis. He will aslo have you give him input on your weight, sled and riding style to fine tune the valving. He did mine and I couldn't be happier.

you can use them stock width but the front end is alittle high and it will make the spring and shock act stiffer than they are because of the steeper angle.
if you want to make it viper width i sell a widening kit for your tie rods, radius rods and swaybar spacers for 110 to make it a 42in wide and use your rods. i also sell a 44 wide kit for 120
