Hey guys...its been awhile since i've been on the site..I have a question about my 02 slp viper. It has the pipes,v-force cages and clutch work. Everything else is stock..Well this fall i plan to attend the grass drags again...i'm looking for input on what i can do next that wouldn't cost me a fortune and would scoot the viper across the lawn alittle faster...something that would work good with my pipes..thanks guys

maybe a port and polish or cut the head?i need some ideas
Have you done the simple stuff? Over sized wheels, marginal snow kit, strap down rear suspension (if allowed), low profile track with chisel picks. I've never grass dragged, but this stuff is cheap to do.
Having it ported never hurts, just the wallet.

What's the distance that you're racing? You could gear down. Pretty much the cheapest thing you can do to gain some performance.

yeah sorry i forgot to mention I do have it geared 20-39..the distance raced here is 500ft. I've already pushed the sled to the max pretty much without doing anything significant to the motor..its all stock. Redsnake is willing to trade me his sport-ported cylinders for my stock ones so that he can have mr.viper more aggresivly port them and start from scratch..any ideas on this?
are you just going to the lakeveiw again or is there something goin on sooner,i'm ready now!!!

You can probably go lower than 20-39 if you have good traction. 40 or 41 tooth bottom might be better...
