What to do????
Just bought my 03 Viper (w/ reverse) last year for $5K, got it clutched pretty good and enjoy riding it. Love the two stroke triple!
But in Ontario $3200 CDN for an 03 RX1 with 7600km in it is a really good deal. Nice sled, wanted it since the day it came out. Could easily do the 04 front end changes on it. Hmmmm
Lastly, to make this even more confusing, I was considering putting SLPs on the Viper this year.
What do you guys says 03 Viper vs. 03 RX1 ???

keep both ?
Wish I could afford too. Getting rid of my old Polaris would help, really can use 3 sleds in a 2 person household.

Well if it makes you feel any better i got 4 know, lol, If you could swing the cash right now i would buy the RX1, wait till winter test it and see if you like it. If you do you could sell the viper for $4000 and the polaris and buy a turbo or super charger for the RX1.; WOW what a Sled that would be. I'm thinking of maybe getting the 99 up and running and selling both for a 4 stroke then a turbo. See the desions i been trying to make it's tuff. I wish i had lots of money
Wow, so far.
4 say keep the viper
1 says go RX1
5 say keep the viper and pipe it. LOL
10 votes so far and 9 of then are for the Viper. Guess I should have expected as much from the 2 stroke side of the site. I should post this on the 4 stroke side and see if they are as bias.

keep the Viper.. the 2003 RX-1's don't handle very well... If you like the way your Viper handles and wish you had a lighter sled... Don't buy a heavier sled.

Exactly you have to stick so much money into the rx1 to be happy with it it's not worth it.

I agree as well, if it's not an '05 you wont like it more than your viper
Keep the Viper. You will be disapointed with old RX-1. If you are looking one go for -06 model

I am really happy with my 05 warrior over my piped viper. It runs as fast if not faster, maybe not guite as quick accleration, but it is as close to a tie as you could ask for, and 16 mpg compared to 6mpg on the viper.all you need to make it ride good is a swaybar, links and a 05 seat. JMO Maxdlx

I had a 2000 Mtn Max, built to the Max
Sold it and bought a 2003, RX1 and did some great mods, dumped it, my Mtn Max was a better sled..
Got a 2003 Mtn VIper, SLP pipes +++ extras. Blows them all away.

The masses have spoken. Well based on everyone input and the fact I'm buying a new house, still haven't sold the old one, I've passed on the RX-1 deal. Pipes for the Viper have been ordered
Just couldn't really afford to have all that money tied up at this point.
Thanks to everyone who voted!
