two questions:

1.)im looking to get a new track for my 2002 srx 700 and have no idea where to start. i want something that i can go everywhere do all type thing and still rip up the trails with the best.

2.) how big of a deal is it to install my own track? or would i be better off leaving that to the someone who gets paid for that?

thanks for the help.

I fit where me, I'd get a preditor 6 pitch track. I think the 121 is 9819. I would do it myself, but it all depends on your mechanical skills. Maxdlx

The six-pitch is a great all around choice. Swapping a track is pretty straightforward. A little time consuming the first couple times, but once you figure it out there is nothing to it.

mods to a sled are kinda new to me, so when you say "The six pitch predator 121" is a 9830" i know 121" is length but what is 9830??

9830 is the model number of a Camoplast track.

Heres the link to Camoplast. http://www.tracksusa.com/trail.html
The 9830 is the 1" lug track. You may want to consider the 9818 same design track but 1.25 lug. I replaced my 9818 track last year with 144 studs after 7200 miles. Great all around track.

Yep the 9830 is a good all around track.Just installed a new one on my 2002 SRX a few weeks ago. This is the second time I ever removed suspension and installed a track.First time around was hell.Second time around was a little better, but still lost my cool a few times and was tossing things around the garage .I have a temper that will flare up if something goes wrong. If you have a temper problem at all,get someone else to do it for you.It may be cheaper in the long run.LOL

thanks for the heads-up on the temper thing, and ill keep that in mind for sure!! lol

Sorry to hijack the thread guys, but what would be the best track to install for speed but keep in mind i still trail ride... I guess its a really hard question to answer though cuz theres a lot of variables. I'm just curious thats all since my track is on its last legs, and the new one i'd want to stud with at least 144 if not 192

also while i got this one going,

i want to upgrade power an looks for dirt cheap? any thoughts???? ideas?????

good choice

Well said there Bruce, that is what I installed a few weeks ago. This track does come highly recommended by many, you included.......Doug
