TRACK
1.25" Ripsaw with studs
I heard you have to change the drivers to smaller 8 tooth. Is that it? I want the extra bite of the 1.25" Will be going to a viper rear skid at the same time. Any thoughts?

I have a 1.25" predator track on my 121" viper and that fits. I think it depends on your pick length at 1.25". Just do a search on this forum and you can pretty much find anything.

The official answer seems to be 8 tooth drivers, different chaincase gear to correct the speedo, tunnel protectors, and exchanger protectors front and rear. Depending on the model you may already have some of the protectors from the factory.
In my case, I have a Viper S with the 1 1/4 ripsaw, so I would have to do all of the above. Someone on one of the forums is running with the stock drivers etc., they must feel very lucky. If you punch a hole in the front exchanger, you will be down for a long time, I beleive that it is welded in place.

Maddogsrx has always said that a 1.25" track with studs does fit with 9 tooth drivers, but that you just have to watch the tension and not let it get too loose to keep it from contacting the front heat exchanger. Of course this would be with tunnel and heat exchanger protectors, and you would have to notch the track above the windows so that there is clearance for the protectors or it will rub like crazy and probably rip the protectors right out. My 1" hacksaw even ripped out the exchanger protectors when trying to let it "wear in" on its own. But your safest bet either way would be to put in 8 tooth drivers, a speedo drive from a mountain max, and regear the chaincase to get your top end back. Most likely you will have to reclutch with that track as well because it will have more traction thus more load on the clutches, causing them to shift differently since the secondary is torque sensing.
