Hey guys, need to ask you yami experts a question about my primary, at low speed and initial slow acceleration my machine shakes and acted like teeth were jumping in the case, i pulled the hood off and the clutch cover and watched the clutches on acceleration, the primary kept jumping in and out rapidly untill i got going faster then stayed engaged, does it just need cleaning? this is on my 2000 vmax 500, then on my 2001 srx the clutch doesnt retract all the way at idle and the belt squeals is this just cleaning also thanks

sounds like a low spot on your belt-try a new one.
Broken primary spring?
As for the srx. The squeeling can be remedied by removing washer(s) under the screws behind the secondary (3 of them). If this doesn't help, use screws in there.
Hope this helps

Somethings not kosher in the clutch on that twin. As for the srx sounds like the deflection is just a bit on the tight side (that is assuming that the alignment isn't WAY off, good to check alignment and center to center). If the alignment and center to center are good simply remove one washer from each of the three 8mm bolts on the back of the secondary and that will loosen the deflection. You then put those washers back in as the belt wears to tighten the deflection back up.
