I've read so much about the skid swap mod to get the long travel, but do you have to do that. Can you just swap the shocks out? Or will they not fit. If you can, do you have to do both or just the rear/rear. Lastly, Are you changing just the shocks themselves or do the coil springs have to be changed along with the longer shocks. I'm getting ready to change tracks & wanted to do this all at the same time.

Just do a search on here. This has been discussed a ton. I would search for" SRX and Viper and Shocks"

You will have to buy new viper front straps, add 10mm spacer to your transfer rods, put in the new viper shocks.

Do just as bruce said. You put the shock and springs from the viper in the srx skid. When I did my sx I found I didn't need new limiters, I just let the short ones all the way out. It worked for me, but you will have to try it and see. Maxdlx

Bruce - I don't beleive you need the 10mm spacer on the 99.. The 2000 skid does though. On the 99 you just need the longer limiters and different spacers for the control rods.
FRO - if you have trouble determining what size the spacers should be.. I can measure my 99 for you. I did this same mod on a 99 and 00. The 00 definately needed the 10mm length added to the control rod.
