Guys, What gas Are stock vipers required to run on ? My old SRX required 91 oct or higher? I think it would be the same do to the exhaust valves? No sticker on my sled and I did not get a manual with it. Will dealers still honor the shock recall ? any other recalls out there? Thanks to all!

Vipers are listed to run 88 octain or highier. However, I have only used 87 and not had any problems. I think you will find most people on this site also use 87.

The shocks were never recalled. They were a compain for any owner that did not like the way the sled rode. I am sure that you will not find a dealer to cover the soft shock upgrade.

Things to check or replace:
- shock upgrade - dealer
- speedo gage rubber boot upgrade to the 04. (prenevets the foging.)
- check the wire harness under the engine for rub throughs
- hood had a recall where it meets the bottom plastic

also fuel pump, and water pump bulletins for the viper

Water pump bulletin for a Viper? What goes wrong on the water pumps cause I have a 02 and never heard of such a thing.

Think one of the seals goes and they start dripping. Mine drips, so I'll have to take a look at it in the fall. Look for drops on belly pan directly below pump.

Thanks guys, Only 1100 miles so should be pretty good shape. I always go threw all things mentioned. My SRX had a broken front "A" arm after 2nd season. I also didn't hear about the water pump! That's why it never hurts to ask!!!!!!!! Thanks again
Terry

i know lots of guys will argue this but I wouldnt run anything but super in my sled, I know mines a SRX and requires it but its good practice IMO to run it in small engines. just my 2 cents
