Venture seat change

I am looking at changing the seat on my 97 venture to a one up. Anyone have any suggestions on the best fit. I have a line on a Viper and SX seat and was wondering which would work with the least amount of mods.
 

My son rode our 700 Venture at his last TY ride with an SX seat. Perfect fit! The Viper seat is NOWHERE near as comfortable as the SX seat. It looked a little funny with a red and black seat and the bronzish color of the 01 Venture though. Didn't care about looks, less weight and more legroom. Very worthwhile change IMHO. Go for it!!

If I'm not mistaken, the SX seat will have the snap flap in the front and the viper seat is flapless. It would leave the two little knobs on the tank showing and not be as clean looking with your stock tank. I am famous for a bad memory though and could be wrong about the Viper seat.
 
Hey Ian, HAving a kid is HELPING your memory LOL. That si correct. I didn't change the snaps, the pattern was different, but it was a straight install. You'll like that SX seat much better than a Viper seat.
 
Any V-Max seat form that year forward will go right on- no modifications except for possibly drilling the two holes for the studs in the rear. I don't remember if they were there or not. I ordered a single seat when I ordered my Venture in 1997.
