I took off my stock Viper Bars and i want a straight bar to put on.

i ordered Powermadd Pivot Adapter and a 3 inch block to go with it so the total rise height will be 6 inches. i also ordered the cable extensions to go with it.

Does anyone know how the cable works. On the throttle on the bars there is 2 cables one goes below the carbs and the other attachs to the carbs. will the cable extension they sell in Dennis Kirk(part number 19-4404, on www.DennisKirk.com) change that from 2 lines into 1 on something?

Also any ideas on what bar to put on it?

thanks

I here FLY is a nice bar to put on. I have a 4" riser on my sled and am using the same cables, I just rerouted them here and there (no probs). I would just go order viper mountain cables or call mountain performance and they will hook you up. Just tell them what you are doing and they will suggest what you need. AP

The cable that goes under the carbs goes to your oil injection. To go to one cable you would probably have to start mixing your gas. I would think that if you ordered a kit with cable extensions, everything should be there to do the job. More than likely you will have to take off the stock cables and install the new, longer cables. You need to make sure you calibrate the oil injection correctly (A dealer or someone else on this site should be able to tell you how to set it). Also, don't get your throttle cable to tight or the T.O.R.S. (throttle overide system) will activate.

Do they sell cables to extend the Oil Pump cable? becuase it is the same size as the throttle cable...??
thanks

I would think if you ordered a kit specific to your machine, everything should be there. I haven't ever seen any cable "extensions" at the MPI site, they just sell longer cables. I would call whoever you ordered the kit from and ask them EXACLTY what they are sending you. If the kit is suppose to cover everything involved with the amount of rise your installing, it should address both cables.

Fair warning, if you have to run new cables the oiler is pretty tight down under the carbs. Without looking at my sled and going from memory, you will probably have to remove the airbox and carbs to get to it. Keep in mind that you will have to route the cables around the airbox when it is re-installed. Its not too bad of a job if you just take your time. I'm getting ahead of myself. First thing, see what they are sending you.
