Looking to run a 1in Predator with 144 studs(down center) on the SRX but dont know what length studs to run. Will I have clearance issues with the 1.175in. studs? Stud choices are Woodys Signature Series or Stainless Steel Traction Masters. Lets hear some opinions.

I ran the 1.175 way back when I had a 99 500. There was no clearence issue, and you get better penatration. Maxdlx

I have ran both. The 1.175 undoubtedly hooks up a lot better by far, but you gotta watch the conditions you ride in. If you're a throttle jockey and ride in low snow conditions you will bend all those studs so fast it'll make your head spin

Thanks for the replys guys!!!!! More than likley I'll be going with the 1.175in. But have another question, since Ill be running on the lake would it be smart to invest into some taller nuts to help support the studs from bending?

get the shorter tall nuts. They will work fine. Maxdlx

tall nuts wont work on that short of stud ( meaning the nut will be to tall limiting the stud to penatrate).

I used some 1.175 on a .75 track with some blue plastic square backers on the ice with srx with no issues.Only problem i had was as stated above watch the fun flipper in the marginal snow or goodbye a few studs after a little track wear Hooked up great and noticed a big difference over the 1.075 I had before and the 1 inch before that and...

Oh yes the hook up was intense!!!I also have expert x suspension with the track combo. Before the sled motor blew on the ice last year i was holeshot king on everything.Problem was i didnt have enough time to figure out the suspension set uup all the way.Wheelie power was way fun as i mostly trail ride but like a little fun on the lake too

They sure do, best thing i ever bought for the sled.My back and butt are stll thanking me!!hehe. That was where I was at with the tuning was to get the massive transfer in check to still get good holeshot but tame the transfer down to pull hard thru to the top.Even in "wheelie mode" the sled was impressing me and also some firecats and others. Not bad at all for a trail sled tuned.
