I just purchased something huge, I still can't believe it !! OK here we go! First a 72 yamaha SR643 which is minus the skis, engine and pipes, But it is NEW never been driven! Hard to believe I know but it only gets better! Next is Lynn Trapps 72 SR 643 factory sled The sled was outside under a fishing boat and is in remarkably good condition, It is missing the carbs, pipes and skis. The sled still carries his C-23 USSA number and has L.Trapp driver decal on it! Pretty good so far hey! Well next is Wayne Trapps 72 SR 292 grass drag sled complete and in awesome shape. The sled started as a 72 SR433 factory sled and was converted by Yamaha's race director The sled won the 292 mod class at the MN state grass drag Championships And last but not least is a 72 GP 433. Doesn't sound like much yet But it has a 71 SR433 engine with the sier # of Sr433-00228. Yes this is the Sier # of Mike Trapps 71 SR that won the Worlds championship. The pipes also do exit out the left side of the sled and it has a circle M Injection set up on it, I,m sure the Injection was added to the engine when the stuff was put into this sled But it is a very early set up. And the story behind this sled all fits! UNBELIEVABLE I KNOW BUT ALL TRUE!. I feel like i just hit the lottery! A lot of people helped make this happen and I want to thank them all ! Especially Jason Remiker for comming along to pick it all up and share this HUGE day with me!

Such great pieces of history to have and all the responsibilty
that goes with them . Restore ??? not likely , then it would be
"any" SR ....Tidy up and make complete would be nice ???
....I expect the only race history of my Hydraulics was the
75 TL433G the Yamaha race team used to pull the sleds from the
pit area to the infield at Peterboroughs Kawartha Cup .
.
They are a great find and I hope you are getting sleep know
that they are home ....

wow, a find like this can only happen once in a lifetime, if you're lucky
I hope you plan on bringing them to shows because they're some great pieces of racing history.

The 71 sr motor is going to be put into my 71 sr433. The Wayne Trapp 72 SR292 grass dragger is going to stay just as it is now, the same way it was when Wayne finished racing it. Lynns 72 SR643 is going to be brought back to the condition it was when it was raced in 72,and I'm not quite sure on the new sr 643 yet. I'll keep you posted
